Virtually Private
So this week, I'll be testing out the site on a virtual server. Should be interesting. For the price, if I like it I'll keep it, especially since it offers easy customizable bursting in case I or one of my other sites gets hammered. It will also hopefully solve some of the numerous issues on whatever shared server they put my site on. These include 500 errors, timeouts, PHP errors, speed issues, and various other fun things I've gotten thus far. So, Dreamhost, I implore you to impress me, or it may be time to go host shopping again.
Then again, maybe Drupal is best for it's on server down in the basement?
* UPDATE *
So, now the site is on a virtual private server. Of course, as soon as I said something about stability yesterday, I was hit with yet another 500 error session due to someone overloading my hosting server, so HOPEFULLY being on my own private server instance will help substantially. If not, I'm definitely going to try out MediaTemple's Grid-Service, which definitely sounds better than throwing a bunch of maniacs in one box like Dreamhost does.
